Can you uninstall Sims 3 without deleting custom content from the launcher?

I'm having issues with my .sims3packs and they are not showing up in my game. This just started happening after I installed the latest patch. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all of the CC in my launcher multiple times and none of my .sims3packs have showed up. I can't get a software to find any corrupted content because no software has been released for mac yet. If anyone has any other solutions instead of having to uninstall sims 3 that would be greatly appreciated, but can you also tell me if you can uninstall sims 3 without deleting CC from the launcher.
