Concern with my boyfriend?

We have been together seriously, for several months and are moving in together next month. I am divorced with 4 kids. He has gotten very close to them as well. He is divorced but does not have children. He went to Disneyworld with his family last Friday. They were to go on a cruise starting Sunday, today. On Friday, my house caught fire, I had been sleeping upstairs for a couple hours before my dogs waking me up. I suffered carbon monoxide poisoning, and was treated with hyperbaric chamber, and went into cardiac dysythmias. I have been discharged home, and have been back again for trouble breathing. When I asked if my boyfriend was coming back, he said he couldnt, didnt want to upset his family. A couple of times he said he would check flights, but was angry and annoyed about it. Then he said he couldnt go through with it, that his family said I should lean on other people. My small family has been taking care of my kids, 2 of which are autistic and are a handful. That leaves me alone when in hospital and recovering at home. I ahve never asked advice before on here, but this has been so upsetting..I am wondering if I am wrong or selfish for feeling that he shouldve come home, despite hisfamily being upset with it? Please give me some honest thoughts. Thanks!!
