My sims 3 launcher wont work. Says not respondin. How to fix?

I have sims 3 on my lap top and it always worked till I installed sims 3 generation. Ever since then the launcher will pull up but not do anythin else. It jus says not respondin when I click play. Ive unistalled reinstalled and done all I can think of. Help?
