Sims 3 PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME?!?

Here's the situation: My laptop died a few months ago and I just revived it and now feel the urge to play Sims 3! This wouldn't be a problem, had I not lost my Sims 3 World Adventures disc! So here I am, Simless, wondering if I can still play. I've already downloaded the the game and everything, but when I open the launcher, it asks me to insert the disc. So, the question is, is there a way to play Sims 3 without buying another disc, or do I have to go get another one?! Please answer as soon as possible! Thank you(:
