My mother died because of a heartattack do i have a legal case?

My mother died in 1998 of cardiac related complecations when I was 3. She had just turned 32 a month earlier. She had been taking the drug vicodin. I have absolutely no idea what this is used for but it was prescribed by her doctor if I'm not mistaken...
