What is comparatively easier to become: Nuclear Engineer in Medicine or Cardiac Surgeon?
Becoming a Nuclear Engineer can require as little as a Bachelor's Degree in Physics, but to work in medicine, you're probably looking at a Masters Degree or more likely a Doctorate, with lots of Nuclear Physics, Chemistry and Math. A Cardiac Surgeon is more involved; 4 years of college, 4 years of med school, 3-4 years of Surgical Residency, additional residency specializing in cardiovascular surgery. Put succinctly, you're looking at twice the time to become a Cardiovascular Surgeon than as a functioning Nuclear Medicine engineer.
